As the New Year approaches, I would wish that the Council of European Canadians would become with all haste a lobbying group on behalf of all European Canadians, just as Africans had the NAACP and the Jews have various organisations such as B’nai B’rith. While initial “redpilling” may be useful, there is little benefit in intellectual onanism and complaining about the dire state of affairs – this council must instead take action, presenting a firmly reputable veneer and having the support of the majority of European Canadians. Going door to door if we must in order to enlist donors and supporters/subscribers.
It is also clear that at this stage in the demographic transition it is (legally) rather impossible to prevent whites from becoming a minority in Canada, or at the least to achieve a supermajority. Lobbying against non-white immigration and the like made sense in the 1980s and 1990s, but is rather untenable now, or while a noble goal, should not be the sole direction of the Council’s efforts.
As such, the next step is to advocate for peaceful and prosperous co-existence. And the cornerstone of this is to restore the freedom of association that we still had in the 1930s and 1940s, and namely to restore this human right in the social sphere.
It should be perfectly legal to create private gyms and social clubs for whites-only, and this should be a core direction of advocacy and lobbying. In Ontario, this would require an amendment to the Ontario Human Rights Code, where there is already a loophole which allows recreational clubs to discriminate on the basis of sex (section II.20). It would suffice to allow these same private recreational clubs to have a similar loophole on grounds of race or ethnic origin. A case could be even made under anti-discrimination reasoning, arguing that in all sectors of society blacks and Jews de facto already have their own fraternities and clubs, and existing case law serves to deny whites and only whites the freedom of association.
Several European immigrant groups, such as the Poles, Ukrainians, Lithuanians or Italians, maintain cultural centres and areas of property that exist in legal grey zones. These are seemingly tolerated by subsuming race to culture (culture being somewhat better protected by the Canada Multiculturalism Act) as well as opening their facilities and events to all members of the public regardless of race. In any case, these cultural institutions are declining due to the decrease in European immigrants to Canada as well as the rapid assimilation of new generations to the Anglophone mainstream. On the contrary, Jewish institutions are thriving, such as the Miles Nadal Jewish Community Centre in Toronto, which offers paid fitness and cultural memberships to (apparently, and it must, according to Ontario law) any member of the public. Any Gentile that pays for this centre will thus subsidize Jewish interests, and the more Gentiles that move into the area and join for the fitness benefits (i.e. the more Jews become a minority in their own institution), the greater the wealth transfer to Jews. Is there a lesson here?
In order to fulfill its potential activist function, the Council should have a defined set of values, and perhaps a political charter of sorts, of moderate positions governments could adopt in order to have the support of European Canadians. Chief among these would be the freedom of association. Putting policy demands such as “decrease non-white immigration” in the charter would be divisive and counter-productive in our new Canadian reality, but a policy to “encourage European immigration” could be lobbied for in good conscience by most White Canadians.
In any case, the Council should aspire to broadly represent the entire European Canadian community, and the key to that is outreach to the white community, whether that is through memberships (a proven highly-effective and laudable concept), advertisements, liasioning with like-minded organisations, or personally organizing various events such as mentorship programs for young professionals or scholarships for disadvantaged white students attending universities.
Memberships would of course be kept strictly private (unlike political parties, there is no duty to disclose), and even on the remote highly unlikely chance they were illegally obtained (by hacking, break-and-enter, or similarly nefarious means), a mainstream image of the Council of European Canadians would not make the “doxxing” an issue, just as for the members of B’nai B’rith it would not be a prohibitive blow. As to scholarships, while a Council such as ours will likely have modest financial means, it should be easy to, for starters, offer $1000 a year – two awards of $500. The message is more important than the specific amount, which may increase with time.
Ethnic scholarships are widely tolerated in Canadian society, with even a corporation like the Royal Bank of Canada offering the RBC Future Launch Scholarship for Black Youth, and the Ontario government providing the Indigenous Student Bursary, and the fact is there are many White students in financial difficulties and from disadvantaged economic backgrounds that would benefit from this help. I think the council has already succeeded in establishing a reasonably moderate image, and switching from advocating for only white nationalism, a state in which whites have the supermajority, to mainly advocating for white rights: fighting against hiring discrimination, advocating for the afore-mentioned right to association, #stopthestigma campaigns against white identity and collective organisation, helping our youth – that will be the future.
There is so much good a council like this could perform in a way that would make people ashamed for attacking it, while garnering broad support from the European Canadian community.
