From December 10, 2020 to May 17, 2021, I wrote 16 commentaries on Joseph Henrich’s book, The Weirdest People (2020). This last December, I rewrote thoroughly these informal commentaries into a cohesive review now published at the journal Mankind Quarterly. This journal had already published a long review of the same book by Kevin MacDonald. Having praised MacDonald’s review, and followed him on some key issues, I was surprised that Mankind accepted another long review (50+ pages) — in which I emphasized cultural factors over the standard evolutionary approaches of this journal.
